Nurses have been the backbone of the health system in our country for a long time. It is only evident now more than ever while we battle the COVID-19 pandemic. They deserve the recognition other professions have been getting for decades.
I have been a nurse for over 20 years and I see the sacrifices and dedication my colleagues put into their work. They will be the last ones to ever ask for any recognition, but the first people who deserve it.
