Aussies love a fair fight, and a fair game of footy. Too often, we see inconsistent umpiring across all games in the AFL. Umpires have the power to influence the outcome of a game so dramatically, and so subtly, but carry no accountability for their actions.

Players are not allowed to tank/swing/fix a game, so why are umpires given free reign over the outcome of a game, and players and coaches punished and fined for speaking out against them?

Increased technology is not enough, and is often flawed.

We need to introduce fines for umpires, see match payments reduced, suspension, open criticism, and independent review and evaluation as possible reprimands for what could be considered 'match fixing' in sport.
