We are calling for a Federal Royal Commission into Water Policies throughout Australia.

We are concerned that the current policies that appear to favour irrigators and miners are having a hugely detrimental impact on our river systems, and in turn, our diverse and endangered wildlife such as platypus and many other native species that depend on healthy eco-systems. Humans also need healthy eco-systems!

The stench of corruption is also getting stronger. Reports of water miners getting approval at the expense of local communities is unacceptable. New coal mines that contribute to global warming consuming vast amounts of water is unacceptable. Politicians with vested interests are extremely concerning and absolutely unacceptable. A Royal Commission into Water Policies is perhaps the only way to uncover the truth.
