Update 1

Pleasing to see the initial response to the petition, I’m of the opinion that this needs to gather at least 10,000 signatures in order to gain media attention, and I feel in doing so will raise to public attention the Veterans issues which Morrison could have done on the eve of Australia day but failed to do so. To that end I am asking everyone to use their social media contacts to broadcast the existence of the petition as widely as possible, especially to contacts within the ex defence community. If you are an admin of a Facebook group I also feel it will be helpful to make it a pinned message for a day or so. From what I can gather the selection of Morrision seems to be seen generally as a poor decision, not only because of the way he has shunned the ex ADF community, but generally there seems to be a feeling that he simply doesn’t warrant it, and the position seems to be one of finding someone with the current or most useful politically correct agenda and gifting it too them. Also, there exists within the framework of the petition software an ability to make corrections, if there is someone who has the appropriate scribe skill that could help it would be appreciated, please don’t change the jist of the petition.
