NO SPEED BUMPS ON BRIGHAM CREEK ROAD UNTILL THE MOTORWAY CONNECTION OPENS

There is a petition with thousands of signatures asking for Speed Bumps to be installed along with reduced speed limits and speed cameras on Brigham Creek Road where the speed limit is currently already reduced to 80km/h
This would be horrible and cause a serious concern for safety and increase congestion dramatically
all speed bumps contribute to climate change because vehicles slow down and then speed back up burning more fuel than maintaining a constant speed which is contributing to “global warming”
THIS PETITION IS ASKING FOR:
NO SPEED BUMPS ON BRIGHAM CREEK ROAD OR ANY OTHER IMPORTANT TRANSPORT ROUTE IN THE AREA
KEEP BRIGHAM CREEK ROAD SAFE FROM POTHOLES AND SPEED BUMPS UNTILL THE MOTORWAY CONNECTION IS BUILT TO BYPASS WHENUAPAI
…
Once the motorway connection is open from state highway 16 to state highway 18 then the locals can have their way with Brigham Creek road but until then a legal speed limit of 80km/h is slow enough thanks.
please note we are all in support of basic infrastructure improvements in the area but speed bumps are not an improvement
