Deep Creek road, Torbay is becoming an extremely busy road, particularly with 2000 new homes being built in the Long Bay development area.  It is a major bus route with very few safe places to cross.  The only crossing is situated by Torbay Primary school.  However,  the top end of Deep Creek road is busy and fast with traffic.  Situated here is  Torbay Kindergarten, where many Mothers with preschoolers and multiple children have to cross this road.  This particular part of road is a crossing area for Primary school children whom walk up to Glamorgan primary school.   My young twins have come close to an accident.  One of them was almost hit by a bus when he stepped out into the road whilst I was getting his brother out of the car.   There is an urgent call for action to the North Shore city council to make crossing this road safer.  There needs to be a pedestrian crossing and speed bumps approaching,  a safe centre island for stopping, and warning signs of children crossing.  Lets not make this happen  AFTER a terrible tragedy, lets make this road safer before a terrible tragedy happens.
