Over the last 3 business days we have had our Lawyer and Barrister of CNG Lawyers send in a proposal to the Council save Bandits life.
Basically we have advised that we are willing to accept a Declaration if he is not destroyed.
This is what the Council originally proposed and then (even-though they were out of time as per the QLD Legislation) sought an expert called Cam Day to conduct a "wooden spoon" test after Bandit had been in a 1.2m cell for over 60 days and waterboarded twice a day with a high pressure hose.
So I know what I would do if I was an 18 month old pure bred cattle pup who had been abused and tortured with no exercise for 60 days with no visitation, no love,no sunlight, no exercise, housed near a stinking cattery, underfed, sprayed and witnessing ongoing killings of itinerant inmates!
I would bite the spoon that a stranger was prodding me with especially after he had been filming me in the filthy conditions and was there with the other 3-4 torture masters in high viz. Probably laughing at the "freak show" they had constructed.
Because Bandit bit the spoon he was declared Dangerous and must be destroyed . Yes I know its hard to believe when everyone knows cattle dogs are highly protective and need privacy. No bedding, no kennel, no protection from the highest temperatures Beaudesert QLD had experienced.
On some days he has been subjected to probably over 45 degrees in his non ventilated cell. For his first few months the whirlybird didn't even work on the facility.
Bandit is used to being in our pool on hot days and hates the heat. He is a water and mud lark!
As an example on the 12 February 2017 the Brisbane Times reported:
Meanwhile St George, Dalby, Miles, Warwick, Oakey, Kingaroy, Gatton, Roma, Applethorpe, and Beaudesert also experienced their hottest February days ever.
On September 25 2017 the Gold Coast Bulleting reported:
Mr Cronje said Beaudesert residents will swelter through tops of 37 degrees this week.
“It’s going to be very hot inland,” he said.
So not only has he endured heatwave records he also has endured crazy temperature drops below zero as he is in a bess brick building with no lights, no heating, no bedding and is usually wet as the Rangers keep waterboarding him.
The Council Lawyers (King and Company,Brisbane, Australia ) didn't come back in our Barristers time frame and when they did today it was a Trainee Lawyer who came back. The response demonstrated that the firm has no idea about the QLD Animal Management Act 2008 and the Council have no one at the wheel.
There is now a rumour in our Council area that Tony Magner, Director Scenic Rim Regional Council has been sacked for maladministration.
Magner is the person who has subjected Bandit to this ongoing campaign.
I think the legal advice being provided to our Local Government is flawed and appears to be all about ensuring there is a continuing billing cycle which by now would be over $100,000 of Rate Payers funds.
As per below if you can help in anyway please do assist us wth the legal fees which are mounting.
I appreciate some people will want to lodge them anonymously but that will make it hard for me to pay you back!
