Hi Jeff, it's me again!

First, a huge thank to you and your team at Amazon for responding to us! In November we received an email from the Amazon Public Policy team in Sacramento saying that they would like to speak with us. Yes! We connected with Sally Kay from your Bay Area Policy team and had a good dialogue.

In a nutshell, she let us know that there isn't any policy work underway at Amazon that centers on the reuse of boxes.

Currently.

So let's partner together to create a policy. With the holiday season upon us there is no better time to announce this as a priority. With over 5 billion Amazon packages being shipped around the country this year, folks are going to be acutely aware of all of the packaging waste. Announcing your awareness and focus on the reuse of Amazon materials would be some good news to close out a challenging year.

And, our proposal that you run a pilot Amazon Pick up and Reuse Program in Marin County, CA, still stands.

We're committed to do whatever it takes.

Best Regards,

Carolyn Lund
