The San Anselmo Town Council endorsed the Amazon to Reuse Boxes Initiative on Tuesday night and committed to looking more robustly at the issue of the town’s waste stream.

Council members asked: Can we consume less? Is our recycling system working as well as we think it is? Could reuse have an impact on local waste collection?

San Anselmo is the seventh Marin County city to support the Amazon Initiative, joining Mill Valley, Belvedere, Fairfax, San Rafael, Muir Beach, and Larkspur.  This adds considerable weight to residents' request for Amazon to pick up and reuse its boxes and plastic mailers in Marin County.
