As of Monday, September 5, 2016, helmets as an article of safety for all motorcycle, scooter, and moped drivers are neither required by law in the state of Arkansas nor on the University of Arkansas campus. This petition has been created in hope for change.

Please sign if you are in favor of requiring the use of helmets on the University of Arkansas campus. 

***We are aware that the current law in the state of Arkansas does require those under the age of 21 to wear a helmet, but our goal is to increase safety for everyone, regardless of age. Law enforcement cannot pull over motorcycle, scooter, or moped drivers without probable cause; therefore, we are proposing that the use of helmets be required by all drivers on the University of Arkansas campus in order to increase and enforce safety.
