Ask Tractor Supply to CLOSE on Easter

The Issue

Tractor Supply, a company that has traditionally valued its employees by closing its doors for three major holidays; Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. This year, however, the company has decided to remain open on Easter without offering holiday pay. This change not only disrupts our cherished family traditions but also fails to recognize the hard work we put in throughout the year.

Tractor Supply is one of the largest operators of rural lifestyle retail stores in America with over 1,900 stores in 49 states (source: Tractor Supply Company). Despite this vast network and considerable profits generated annually, it seems that our welfare as employees is being overlooked.

The decision to remain open on Easter without providing holiday pay contradicts their proclaimed commitment towards their employees' wellbeing. It's essential for companies like Tractor Supply to value their staff by respecting their right to spend important holidays with loved ones and compensating them fairly when they are required to work during these times.

We urge you all - fellow employees, customers who appreciate our service or anyone who believes in fair treatment at workplaces - join us in demanding that Tractor Supply reverts back its decision. Let's remind them about the importance of maintaining a balance between business operations and employee satisfaction.

Please sign this petition urging Tractor Supply Company to close on Easter, as they have for previous years.

BRENTWOOD, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Tractor Supply Company, the largest rural lifestyle retailer in the country, has announced it will close all Tractor Supply and Petsense retail stores on Sunday, April 4, 2021, in observance of Easter. The retailer, which operates more than 2,100 locations nationwide, has a longstanding tradition of remaining closed during the holiday.

“For many years, we have chosen to close our stores on Easter Sunday, and we’re continuing the tradition this year with our Tractor Supply and Petsense stores,” said Hal Lawton, Tractor Supply’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “Our appreciation goes out to all of our Team Members for their hard work to meet our increased customer demand and passion for the Out Here lifestyle.” (Source: https://ir.tractorsupply.com/newsroom/news-releases/news-releases-details/2021/Tractor-Supply-Company-and-Petsense-Stores-to-Close-for-Easter-Sunday/default.aspx
