The Issue

Living in Deepanjali Nagar in RR Nagar, Bengaluru, every day I witness the overwhelming presence of industrial pollution. It's disheartening to look out of my window and see smoke billowing from nearby factories, polluting the air that I breathe daily. The landscape is dominated by tiny shops nestled between massive industries, creating a scene that's neither beautiful nor healthy. Moreover, the river that once served as a sacred site for Hindu priests, where they would take ritual baths, is now heavily polluted.

RR nagar is not well-known or talked about positively among the people of Bengaluru, mostly because it has become an industrial area with poor air quality and unattractive surroundings. Yet, it holds potential for transformation. Planting more trees along this busy road could serve as a breath of fresh air, both literally and figuratively. By creating a lush green canopy, we can improve air quality, provide shade, and transform the road into a pleasing and livable environment. Trees not only absorb carbon dioxide, but they also help in filtering pollutants, thus significantly improving the quality of air.

Moreover, a greener RR nagar and Deepanjali nagar will attract more people and business, as aesthetically pleasing areas often do. It's a simple yet effective solution that can make a significant impact on community health and the local economy.

We urge the Karnataka government to take immediate action to plant more trees along  Deepanjali nagar and RR nagar. The residents of RR Nagar deserve to breathe cleaner air and have a greener environment to call home. Let us revive the beauty and health of Mysore Road by initiating this green movement.

Please sign this petition to demand a cleaner and greener RR nagae. Together, we can make a difference.
