Frostop demolition appeal (3100 Calhoun) is WITHDRAWN from the City Council Agenda of 6/4/26

The Ted's Frostop demolition appeal (3100 Calhoun parcel) has been WITHDRAWN by the developer's representative. See page 14 of the City Council Agenda: https://council.nola.gov/getattachment/48a272f6-4544-4dff-9809-6893ba856986/file

This means that the demolition of Ted's Frostop is no longer under official consideration.

The developer's appeal of the HDLC deferrals — “deferrals,” not demolitions — for the adjacent commercial parcels (at 6307-6309 S. Miro and 6309-6311 S. Claiborne Avenue) has been GRANTED by Councilmember Aimee McCarron. See pages 12-13 of the City Council Agenda: https://council.nola.gov/getattachment/48a272f6-4544-4dff-9809-6893ba856986/file

What’s granted:
“Requesting to appeal the Historic District Landmarks Commission’s decision to defer action on the application to a future Commission meeting to allow the applicant additional time to meet with surrounding neighbors and community stakeholders to discuss the overall redevelopment proposal details further[.]”

That's all that is publicly known. The deadline for City Council action is June 4, 2026.
