Ask Rosemullion Vets to ensure emergency care for my dogs

Ask Rosemullion Vets to ensure emergency care for my dogs
The Issue
I am reaching out to you with an urgent and heartfelt plea. Due to a recent dispute with my veterinary practice where they sent a French Bulldog home with her 4 puppies 2 hours after a c section where on collection the nurse said “one pup kept going blue but it should be fine” not identifying the poorly pup or giving any instructions on how to look after the pup moving forward we go home which is only 5 mins away and straight into pre heated whelping box with mum and siblings she died 1h and 15 mins later…the pup should have been kept in icu to keep warm and given oxygen until completely stabilised and also FED they sent home newborn puppies 2 hours old after a c section without being fed so they didn’t even know if the poorly pup had the strength the latch on, I believe if they acted correctly in what was an emergency the pup would have survived but I’m also aware puppies can die so even if they did all they could for her and she then died it still would have been heartbreaking but you would have the reassurance the vet did all the could to prevent her dying which they didn’t there is a whole list of things they failed to do in my formal complaint including not checking the puppies on day 3 and 10 not sending mum home with the correct pain relief, I have been with them for 5/6 years and have never made a formal complaint and the one time I have they have thrown me out of the practice and now refusing Minight vet to help my own dogs one who has had the boas operation and have breathing difficulties and lots of other health problems which the are completely aware of! After winning my Section 75 claim for negligence, my vet has informed me that they will no longer provide out-of-hours emergency care for my dogs. This decision is deeply distressing and puts my beloved pets' health at risk.
To provide some context, I struggle severely with mental health issues, including anxiety and panic attacks. The presence of my dogs is not just comforting but vital to my stability and well-being. When emergencies arise, Minight Vet in Falmouth, which is merely 5 minutes away, is our lifeline. Their refusal to offer emergency care as required contravenes the duty of care they owe to their patients. It is also a significant cause of anxiety for me, especially considering my dog's specific health needs, which include breathing problems that could quickly turn life-threatening. Traveling 45 minutes to an alternative vet in an emergency is not a feasible option.
Rosemullion Vets has a responsibility to provide proper care, including emergency services, to ensure the health and safety of their clients' pets. The proximity of Minight Vet is crucial for quick intervention in cases where every second counts. Denying this essential service is not only unethical but potentially dangerous.
We must stand together to urge Rosemullion Vets to reverse this decision and uphold their commitment to the well-being of their animal patients. This petition is not just about my dogs but about the responsibility that veterinary practices have to all pet owners seeking dependable and humane treatment.
I ask for your support by signing this petition to demand that Rosemullion Vets allows Minight vets Falmouth to reinstate emergency out-of-hours care for my dogs, thereby ensuring that pets within our community receive the care they deserve when they need it most. Please join me in making our voices heard.
