The first Pacific Rim movie was released in 2013, and had a profound impact on my childhood, as I know it did for many others, both children and adults. Amazing direction by GDT made the film unforgettable, and left us hungry for a sequel. In 2018 “Pacific Rim: Uprising” was released but barely compared to the first. This reminded us that Guillermo Del Toro is the only director we can count on to reliably continue this franchise. Guillermo Del Toro has spoken a number of times about how special the film and story are to him. With his pre-existing love of the franchise, I think it will only take a nudge for him to commit to a third and poterntially final film.

The first Pacific Rim film grossed over $400 million worldwide (Box Office Mojo), demonstrating its global appeal and commercial success. A third movie could not only continue this success but also inspire a new generation of fans.

We are asking Guillermo Del Toro to consider directing a third Pacific Rim movie - for us who grew up with it as an influential part of our childhoods, for those who found joy in its unique storytelling, and for future fans waiting to be captivated by this extraordinary universe.
