Ask Costco to reinstate Kirkland Signature Chocolate Chips

Ask Costco to reinstate Kirkland Signature Chocolate Chips
The Issue
We, the undersigned loyal Costco members and supporters, are calling on Costco to make a one-time exception to its pricing policy regarding Kirkland Signature Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips.
We understand Costco’s philosophy: if a Kirkland Signature product cannot be sold for less than the leading national brand, it is pulled from the shelves. However, in this instance, the rule is failing the members.
Why we are asking for an exception:
- Quality Over Price: Tollhouse is not a comparable substitute. Kirkland chips offer a higher cocoa percentage and the blue bag variety offers a dairy-free ingredient list that many families rely on for dietary needs and ethical choices.
- Willingness to Pay: We recognize that global cocoa prices have surged. As members, we are willing to pay a premium for the Kirkland Signature quality rather than being forced to buy a lower-quality name brand that doesn't meet our baking standards.
- Member Loyalty: Part of the value of a Costco membership is access to these exclusive, high-tier products. Removing them in favor of a standard supermarket brand diminishes the value of our membership.
We ask that Costco prioritize product quality and dietary inclusivity over the "cheaper than the name brand" rule. Give us the choice to pay a fair price for the superior product we love.
Bring back the Kirkland Signature Chocolate Chips!
