ADHD is a recognised neurodevelopmental conditions (or neurocognitive style for those who adhere to the neurodiversity paradigm) that is known in research to impact up to 5% of the general population, having a huge scross over with Autistic populations for whom research has suggested an overlap of 80-90%.

Channel 4 is breaching it's own journalistic integrity by airing this documentary, with commentary by those with personal bias against the neurodiversity paradigm, whose work actively makes our lives harder.

This documentary is not a balanced and neutral look at the concept of ADHD. It is a propaganda piece that will turn thw lives of ADHD people into an open question to be publicly scrutinised. Many of those will be fighting to get a diagnosis and support, which is already notoriously difficult to access.

Channel 4 aired this documentary on August 18th 2026, it will have actively empowered those doing us harm, and directly hurt neurodivergent people, whom are already a protected group via the equality act.

We call on Channel 4 to immediately cancel the further airing of "The Great ADHD Myth" and remove it from channel 4 plus, and consider making a balanced documentary that actively empowers ADHD people.
