The issue

I’m sick of Australians being taken for mugs in our own country when the government lies to the people. We are constantly promised one thing and given another. It's frustrating to see no accountability for broken promises and no platform for us—the people—to voice our concerns and opinions. It feels like we are ignored, even when these decisions impact our daily lives in significant and sometimes challenging ways.

One of these pressing issues is immigration. Why should the current government decide unilaterally how many immigrants enter the country without checking with the very people who will share their neighbourhoods, schools, and jobs? We should have a say in shaping policies that allow people from other countries to live in Australia.

Another issue is law and order when it comes to those same immigrants. I’m tired of witnessing individuals who commit crimes in our country being allowed to stay. Why can’t those who break the law be deported, especially if they are involved in gang activities? Keeping them jailed here doesn’t solve the problems; it fuels them. Deporting a few family members associated with gang members might make those families hold their relatives accountable, forcing them to act more responsibly.

Australians need a real voice, a medium through which we can express whether we agree or not with the decisions being made about our future. We need to demand that the government conduct national polls or referendums on these critical issues. It's only fair that we have a voice in the process. Homing in on these topics not only affects the present but crucially impacts our future generations.

Join me in urging the government to take real action and listen to Australians on major issues like immigration and public safety. We need to stand for something more substantial than empty promises. Your signature today is a call for accountability, transparency, and genuine engagement between the government and the people. Together, we can advocate for a system that listens and responds to its citizens. Sign this petition to make your voice heard.
