Thanks to all who attended the presentation about the History of the South Slope and the Ravenscroft Reserve Initiative.
We anticipate ongoing purchase negotiations between the Ravenscroft Reserve Initiative and the 11 Collier Avenue property owner. However, this project is still in the permit pipeline heading towards approval. Next stop is Technical Review Committee on Nov 4.
It remains meaningful to find new signers for our petition to City Council to generate increased leverage.
Here are some additional things you can do to help:
Email or call individual Council members asking them to preserve the wood at 11 Collier Avenue in its entirety.
Hand out or post our paper petition flyers in your neighborhood, do let us know, so we can provide the flyers
Speak at upcoming City meetings in favor of the preservation of these trees and all other existing mature trees, so that Asheville remains a true Tree City.
Next meeting with public input:
Asheville Downtown Commission November 8, 8:30am – 10:00am
City Hall, First Floor Conference Room
Thank you,
Citizens for South Slope Tree Preservation
