Street Art on walls in Melrose, MA

Mission: We, the people of Melrose, want to create pieces of art around Melrose on public walls and electricity boxes to create a more creative environment around the city. 

Artist Eligibility: Anyone who wants to be a part of making Melrose a better place can help paint the walls, no matter the level of artistic talent.

Art Goals: 

• We want to create an art piece/mural on an outdoor wall possibly made with recycled/discarded materials
• Choose a successful team of artists who can complete the task on time and within the budget provided by the city.
• Include the community by having them participate in the creation of the art around the city and offering volunteer opportunities
• Celebrate the artists, the community, and street art to promote Melrose as an inclusive, creative community

Location: Selected and approved blank public-facing walls, surfaces in the city of Melrose that we have permission to use.

More information for artist eligibility will be posted once we get more information from the Mayor of Melrose.
