Over seven years after I found out that a RNC officer took the law into his own hands and had me illegally detained, the public adjudication against him for his actions was just dismissed.
His lawyers argued that the matter wasn't filed within the time limit, but I wouldn't discover this particular officer's involvement until almost two years later during a separate public inquiry. The Complaints Commission accepted that the discovery of new information reset the limitations period, but the Adjudicator insists they didn't complete the proper paperwork.
Here's a link to the decision.
The officer used my views on Palestine and Canada's involvement in the on-going genocide as the pretext for the unlawful detainment. Essentially accused me of being a terrorist.
There is an option for appeal. Will post updates as I know more.
