Some supporters may be following the case of Edith, the emotional support dog, who was illegally seized in Jacksonville, AR from a single Mom whose 11 year old daughter is dependent on Edith for emotional ease of her Asperger's Syndrome. This is a post from one of her supporter's page:
***COURT UPDATE***
The prosecutor, Robert Bamburg (501) 982-6303
did NOT show up for court!
Michelle Gibson, with Reassuring Paws Rescue, filed a no contact order against Amanda, even though she has never, ever contacted her!?
We still don't know where Edith is and have to wait until January 11th for our pre-trial hearing! Yes, there will be a jury trial.
Thank you to the wonderful women that took off work and showed up for court today. Your support means more than you will ever know, not just for the family, but for standing up against BSL! The local media and the Huffington post are following our story, so we are really hoping that our case can help repeal Breed Specific Legislation in Arkansas.
For all the pit bull advocates & rescues in Arkansas your support and presence could make a huge difference! This is your state.
If you don't demand change, it won't occur! We are asking you specifically to join us in this fight. We are hoping to see a much larger crowd at the hearing in January! Please tag your friends & share our page everywhere. We are fighting for pit bulls all over the country, one state at at time. Step up Arkansas!!
Make your voice & vote count! Do not elect officials that are pro BSL. You can make a difference!!!!!!!
