Pro-Puppy Mill Bill is Back at the AZ Legislature!! Stop SB1248: Public Hearing on Thursday, March 17th! This time the bill is being brought to the Arizona House of Representatives Committee on Agriculture, Water, and Lands as a proposed amendment to SB1248. Once again, this "striker" bill is being rushed through the State Legislature without proper study and is framed in a deceptive way to imply that pet stores will be "responsibly regulated." Make no mistake, the bill WILL allow the puppy-mill pipeline to thrive in Arizona. It is the same bill that we successfully prevented from advancing through the Senate Natural Resources Committee. Again, this bill will undo the Phoenix and Tempe bans on the sale of dogs from puppy mills. It will also prevent other cities from doing the same. We need your help to stop this bill! We did it before and we can do it again! We need everyone that signed this petition to do any, or all, of the following: 1.) On Wednesday, March 16th, you need to call every single Committee Member listed below, telling them to stop SB1248. This is the most important thing you can do to stop this right now. Also, have your mom, dad, grandma, cousins, friends, and even your enemies call too! 2.) Attend the Public Hearing, where the House Agricultural Committee will consider this bill. The more people that show up against the bill, the better! The hearing is Thursday, March 17th at 10:00 am, at the Arizona State Capitol, Arizona House of Representative building in Room HHR 3. 3.) Write an email to the committee members listed below, telling them to stop SB1248. 4.) Share this petition. Each petition signature sends an email to every member of the Arizona Senate and House of Representatives, as well as the Governor. 5.) Write to these legislators on social media.
