Arizona State Trust Land continuation for an offroad motorsports facility to operate.

The Issue

Canyon Speedway Park is on the Arizona State Land Departments radar to terminate an upcoming lease renewal for the offroad motorsports facility. The facility has operated with its own funding and in a flood plain since the 1980's. The primary focus is motocross and auto related offroad motorsports activity.

Water is mined on-site at two wells and electricity is generated in house. In 2015, the husband and wife facility owners managed to pave a city owned road in a project that included a complete bridge construction, all with private funding. The owners pay the State Land Department for land use and indemnify the State from all liability. This is a tax paying business that operates on its own funds and with full regulatory compliance.

Spectators, racing enthusiasts, race related organizations, and non-direct businesses that are impacted by motorsports as well as the businesses that will see an immediate effect on the closing of this facility should not let this happen. CSP is a functioning multi-faceted outdoor event complex providing safe, organized, family oriented events!!!

The business is not corporate owned. It is supported by local businesses and entertainment related activity produced at the location. More information can be found at www.canyonspeedwaypark.com and www.canyonmx.com

Be accountable and contact the Arizona State Land Department in support of a lease renewal. Get in touch with Lisa Atkins, the land commissioner at (602) 542-4621 or complete this form at;

The time is now to actively support a small business that is owned by a native Arizonan. The owner only wants to continue with genuine American motorized offroad sporting events and believes that the ability to utilize this 40 year old site is a positive impact on the community! Please share and support this petition for renewal.
