PEACEFUL Gathering Outside Bangor Town Hall (City Hall!)

Some of us have decided to have a presence outside the Council Chambers from 5.30pm this evening, (Thursday 26th January) to show the strength of feeling for our coastal path as the meeting of the full council goes in.  

So many things have been changing in the last 48 hours, and we've noticed that because of the enormous tide of public pressure, some councillors have been changing their position. Others have supported us from the start, which we appreciate and will come back to.

We aim to show them ALL that we want them to WITHDRAW the planning application. 

We believe this is the best way forward - not to "Pause" it, but withdraw it completely. 

Councillors will arrive at different times, some arrive around 6pm for pre-meetings. So we plan to be there from around 5.30pm. If you can come along, that would be great - but we do stress - this is a PEACEFUL show of concern, and we would ask for no heckling or abuse. 

Emailing your Councillors would also be a very helpful action, before the meeting. We urge you to keep it polite, and just ask for them to support any proposal that completely removes the planning application. Anything in future should be developed from the grassroots up.

Writetothem.com can be a useful website to help you write to several of them at once, but below is a list of all councillors email addresses, as accurate as I could ascertain. 

Make no mistake, all of our combined actions are having a significant influence on changing the direction of this, and we are very grateful to everyone reading this for all that you've done. Keep spreading the word!
