The staff at these sites seem to be very well instructed about the enforcement of this rule. While it is clear to the majority of us about the archaic nature of this rule, why is it being so actively and consciously enforced? Even students of Art and Architecture needing specific permission to sketch a monument is strange. Imagine the time and energy that is spent by management and the students in just getting these permissions. This almost sounds like an hindrance and seems to be aimed at discouraging the study of these ancient wonders. If you are part of an educational institution related to Art and Architecture you can help make the difference. Urge the students to sign the petition. Print it out and Post it on the Notice boards, help create the awareness. An effective way to reach more is by sharing it as much as you can in FB Groups and Pages of relevance and urge people to sign. Every single signature matters.
