Allow BeeDee, a dating app that uses the BDSMTest to match complatible people, on the Apple App Store.

People curious about or practicing BDSM still face significant stigma around the world, and hence face difficulty in finding compatible (play) partners or people to talk about the topic with. We’ve noticed that the BDSMTest is often used to discover compatibility between existing or potential new partners.

This is why we developed BeeDee: a dating app that integrates the BDSMTest and the BDSMTest compatibility algorithm and makes it easy for members of the BDSM community to discover compatible people nearby.

Our app is already approved to be published in the Google Play Store, but Apple refuses to allow our app to be publicly downloadable. After making sure we follow all Apple app guidelines, Apple judged BeeDee to be too similar to existing apps and refuses to publish BeeDee. 

With this petition, we want to call upon the community to prove to Apple that:

1. Our community believes that BeeDee will add significant value for users, as it offers a useful feature they cannot currently find in any other app;
2. BeeDee will be used by tens of thousands of users and therefore be a valuable addition to the list of Dating apps in the Apple App Store. Allowing BeeDee in the App Store will create value for users, and won’t create clutter in the App Store.

Call to Action

We, the members and supporters of the BDSM community, urge Apple to approve BeeDee for publishing in the App Store. BeeDee is more than just an app; it's a crucial step toward inclusivity, offering a space where individuals can explore their identities safely and connect with others who share their values and interests.

This app empowers its users by leveraging the insights from BDSMTest, ensuring compatibility and deeper connections among its users. Its approval is not just about access to a service but about recognizing and valuing the diversity of human connections.

Apple's Role

Many members of the BDSM community are iPhone users. All iPhone apps need to be approved for distribution through the Apple App Store before iPhone users can install them. For all iPhone users to have access to this new way of connecting with like minded people, Apple needs to approve BeeDee for publication in the Apple App Store.

As a pioneer in the tech industry, Apple has the opportunity to support the visibility and acceptance of diverse lifestyles by approving BeeDee. By doing so, Apple can affirm its commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and the well-being of all its users. Approving BeeDee would send a powerful message that Apple stands with all communities in their quest for recognition and respect.

We therefore call on Apple to reconsider their stance and approve BeeDee. Let's join hands in making our digital world a more inclusive space for everyone.
