Appoint Daniel Vávra as head of Saints Row

Appoint Daniel Vávra as head of Saints Row
The Issue
The Problem
Since the 2022 reboot, the Saints Row franchise has been left in a state of stagnation. With the closure of Volition and the restructuring of the Embracer Group, fans have been told the series is "dead." The unique blend of grit, humor, and gang-warfare drama that made Saints Row 1 and Saints Row 2 masterpieces has been lost.
The Solution
We are calling on the Embracer Group and Plaion to grant total creative control of the Saints Row IP to Daniel Vávra.
Vávra’s track record speaks for itself. As the writer and director of the original Mafia (2002) and Mafia II, he defined what a mature, high-stakes crime drama should look like. With the massive success of Kingdom Come: Deliverance I & II, he proved he can manage complex open worlds and deliver uncompromising, immersive experiences that players actually want.
Why Daniel Vávra?
- A Master of Crime Narratives: He understands the "underworld" better than any developer in the industry.
- Creative Integrity: Vávra is known for pushing back against "corporate slop" to deliver games with soul and a distinct point of view (unlike Saints Row 2022).
- Fan Trust: At a time when players feel "ghosted" by the industry, Vávra represents the "old-school" quality and dedication to realism and story that Saints Row desperately needs to return to.
- Familiarity: Embracer Group is the parent company of Warhorse Studios. Vávra already works for the parent company indirectly. Embracer Group can hire in-house talent to turn the Saints Row IP around.
Note: Daniel Vávra is currently working on a Kingdom Come Deliverance movie (under Embracer Group). Once filming concludes, Vávra will soon be in a prime position to lend his legendary creative direction to a new franchise. There is no better candidate to lead the next era of Saints Row once his current commitments are fulfilled.
The Demand
We demand that Embracer Group reaches out to Daniel Vávra to discuss the future of Saints Row. Give him the keys to the city. Give him total creative freedom. Let him build the Saints Row game the fans have been waiting over a decade for.
Don't let the Saints die in the dark.
