Dear Apple,

For years, the world has accepted one donut shape as the standard.
Round. Predictable. Emotionally unchallenging.

Meanwhile, an entire generation has fallen in love with something else:
the iconic gourmet square donut pioneered in Hungary and popularized by @theboxdonut — embraced by tourists and dessert lovers visiting Budapest from around the world.

What started as a unique donut concept in Budapest has grown into a recognizable part of modern dessert culture. 
We’ve spent more than a decade popularizing the square donut shape through our franchise network, festivals, social media, late-night cravings, questionable diet decisions, and hundreds of thousands of happy customers.

And yet…
when it’s finally time to express ourselves digitally…

there is still no square donut emoji.

This is not just a design issue.
This is representation.

We believe the emoji keyboard should reflect modern food culture — including the iconic square donut that has grown far beyond a single brand or city, becoming a recognizable symbol of modern dessert culture.

So today, we respectfully ask Apple to update its emoji collection with a proper gourmet square donut emoji.

A soft square shape.
Beautiful glaze (blue as our brand colour would be great)
Maybe slightly overfilled.
Definitely emotionally supportive.
