Have India replace China as Apple's source of manufacturing

The Issue

China's government has violated the basic human rights of its citizens for decades, and yet they continue to get so much economic support from several major corporations, Apple being one of them. India's government, however, does a decent job respecting its citizens' human rights, and yet it has a very poor economy, because it does not receive nearly as much economic support, as far as trade and manufacturing goes.

If Apple were to have their manufacturing done in India, instead of China, it could make an embargo towards China more feasible, so that the governments of developed countries can pressure China's government out of their dehumanizing policies.

Some examples of ways in which the government has violated the basic rights of its citizens include, but are not limited to:

  • Limiting the number of children people can have
  • Forcing Muslims to break their Ramadan fast
  • Persecuting Christians
  • Denying an education to people who disagree with the Chinese Communist Party
  • Censoring the internet; filtering out anything that can expose the darkness of China's government
  • Not letting its citizens vote for their political candidates
  • Unlimited term length for it's president

If more businesses shifted their manufacturing from China to India, it would be much easier for developed countries to pressure China's government into respecting human rights. Let's take a stand against this madness!
