Why Should Apple Ditch Lightning Connector ASAP? We are either an iOS user or Android user, owning multiple devices, and all kinds of cables. As you probably know, Apple started using USB-C in its iPad Pro several years ago, but it still uses lightning cables. While most new Android phones have begun to use Type-C. Type-C is obviously the future and will be the universal connector considering its cost, data transfer rate and so on. 

Nearly a decade ago, lawmakers in the European Union started putting pressure on Apple and other tech giants to adopt a universal charging port. That way, every mobile device would be able to charge via the same cable. Although this bill never went through, the EU is currently pushing for a similar bill right now that could force Apple to finally adopt USB C on its iPhones. 

But why does the self-assumed "innovator" - Apple sticks to Lightning, instead of embracing the future? Is Apple actually becoming a dictator without caring about us? We could've only owned 1 universal cable, we don’t want to carry too many cables while going out, we hate messy cables! So Apple, if they do care about their fans, they must take action now!
