Hello! My name is Eshanna, and I am an 18 year old Sikh woman from New Jersey. Growing up, Sikhism was not a religion most people around me knew about. This hurt me tremendously, and since then I have made it my goal to educate those closest to me on this endearing religion. Recently I noticed that there is no emoji for the Khanda (a Sikh symbol) on the iphone but there is an emoji for the Om, the Cross, the Star of David, the Crescent, and countless others. The Khanda represents our faith in God, and it is our job to remain faithful and fight for the identity of Sikh People everywhere.
