Appeal to water realese and stop to water tanker mafia 💦

The Issue

We are written on behalf of the residents of Gulshan-e-Bihar, Sector 16, District West, to highlight the dire water crisis that has plagued our community for an extended period. Specifically, the area behind Welcome Banquet has been severely impacted by the lack of a proper water supply.

This shortage has forced residents to rely on purchasing water from tankers controlled by a monopoly of water tanker operators. This so-called "water tanker mafia" exploits the situation by charging exorbitant prices, leaving many families in financial distress. Meanwhile, the government-supplied water pipelines remain dry, raising concerns about mismanagement and potential corruption.

The consequences of this crisis include:

Financial burdens on families forced to buy water.

Health risks due to limited access to clean water and the reuse of purchased water.

Disruption to daily life and overall community well-being.

We kindly request Change.org to help us raise awareness and campaign for:

1. Immediate release of water through the government pipelines to ensure access to clean and affordable water.

2. Action against the water tanker mafia to prevent exploitation of residents.

3. Implementation of a long-term sustainable water management system for our area.

Your platform has a powerful impact, and with your assistance, we can unite voices from across the city to demand accountability and effective action. We are confident that this campaign will bring much-needed relief to the residents of Gulshan-e-Bihar and set an example for addressing water crises in other affected areas.

Thank you for your attention and support..

Sincerely,
Residents of Gulshan-e-Bihar, Block C-5 Orangi Town District West Karachi Pakistan
