Appeal to Pune Ganesh Mandals: Inspire youths for nation building.
Appeal to Pune Ganesh Mandals: Inspire youths for nation building.
The Issue
Respected Festival Organizers & Mandal Office Bearers,
Ganesh Utsav in Pune has historically been a powerful platform for social reform, public awareness, and nation-building. Through thought-provoking live scenes (dekshavas/zeankis), art, and messages, our Mandals have always guided society during critical times.
Today, as our country moves forward, it is crucial that our youth and students remain focused on learning, discipline, character development, and constructive nation-building. Unfortunate trends of public indiscipline, vandalism, and misguided protests highlight the urgent need to reconnect our younger generation with true knowledge, moral values, and academic excellence.
We humbly appeal to all Ganesh Mandals of Pune to dedicate a central theme or display to "Student Excellence & Character Building" during this year’s festival.
Suggested Display & Creative Concepts:
- Inspirational Icons of Knowledge: Highlight the unwavering focus, dedication, and thirst for truth shown by legendary young figures from our history and tradition—such as Nachiketa (quest for knowledge), Dhruva(unshakeable determination), and Markandeya (devotion and resilience)—alongside modern icons like Swami Vivekananda and ISRO scientists.
- Creative Art & Live Displays (Dekshavas): Use tableaux, light and sound shows, posters, and short videos contrasting the power of constructive study with the futility of destructive distractions.
- Positive Messaging for Youth: Convey messages urging students to channel their energy into innovation, discipline, respect, and academic mastery as their primary contribution to a strong nation.
By inspiring our students to choose the path of wisdom and service over division and destruction, Pune's Ganesh Mandals can once again lead the way in shaping the future of our society.
We request you to consider this vital theme for your festival presentations and help guide our youth toward a bright, strong future.
Warm regards,
