Good evening and Happy New Year!

Thank you, again, for taking an interest in your Town and signing the petition. 

I attended the Apex Town Council meeting tonight to reiterate our concerns regarding the cyber-attack and the ongoing utility billing issue. To recap, I addressed the council in December to request that they provide more transparency on the cyber-attack and the third-party auditor, BerryDunn, which was hired months after the attack happened to review bills and make recommendations regarding possible overpayments by customers.

One of our specific requests was to have an agenda item on every council meeting until the audit findings are released and the issue fully resolved. That has not happened. Instead, Town Manager Randy Vosburg tonight (Jan 14) provided a very brief update of how the audit is progressing. Essentially, Mr. Vosburg said the audit was going well and they were finding good stuff. Whatever that means. We hope the Town will have more answers by the end of February. In the meantime, if you continue to have issues, please message me with the details and be sure to contact the Town for assistance. Kindly continue to share the petition, too, so that we can reach more people who may not have had an opportunity to sign it.
