We are honoured to share that Professor Tay Kheng Soon, one of Singapore’s most distinguished architects and a respected public intellectual, has officially endorsed the petition to nominate Anwar Ibrahim and ASEAN for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize.
A visionary who has long challenged conventional thinking in architecture and public policy, Prof. Tay brings to this campaign a voice of moral clarity and intellectual depth. His advocacy for climate-sensitive design, democratic urbanism, and inclusive regionalism parallels the ideals this campaign seeks to promote — especially dialogue, consensus-building, and just leadership in Southeast Asia.
Prof. Tay’s endorsement is more than symbolic. It reflects his belief that dialogical leadership, as exemplified by Anwar Ibrahim’s principled diplomacy and ASEAN’s centrality and consensus-based approach, offers a viable path toward peace and stability in our increasingly fragmented world.
His support follows that of Professor Emeritus Datuk Osman Bakar, another prominent voice for civilizational dialogue and peace, demonstrating the growing support from eminent thinkers and changemakers across Southeast Asia.
We thank Prof. Tay Kheng Soon for his courageous voice and invite fellow architects, intellectuals, and citizens of conscience to join us in affirming that:
> Justice and Peace can be achieved through Dialogue.
