Anti-Gerrymandering Amendment

Anti-Gerrymandering Amendment
The Issue
Hello,
I am writing regarding the polarizing and, frankly, corrupt gerrymandering that takes place throughout the United States. I have created a proposed constitutional amendment for you to promote as needed. I would also like to know if this becomes overreach.
Here is the proposed amendment down below:
Amendment XXVIII
Section 1.
The partisan and political creation or modification of electoral district boundaries with the intent of creating undue advantage for a party, group, race, zip code or socioeconomic class within any constituency represented in state and federal legislatures is hereby prohibited.
Section 2.
The National Commission for Nonpartisan Districting is hereby created with the authority to create fair and reasonable electoral district boundaries for every represented constituency in the United States. The Commission shall be staffed with no more than two hundred citizens unaffiliated with any party or political action committee. The Commission will be reviewed, interviewed, and screened for consistency and neutrality by the House of Representatives and the Senate every two years.
Section 3.
Congress shall have the power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.
I sincerely urge you to promote this amendment to the public as much as possible, and ensure that you will do everything necessary to help give Americans a chance at fair representation.
Explanation
Gerrymandering leaves you out of the political process, with politicians carving up your home with red markers, selecting the voters THEY want, when by law it should be the other way around. Gerrymandering reeks of cynicism, with politicians thinking that the electorate does not know better. Career politicians look to line their pockets and gain power at the expense of your voice. If we do not stand up to these corrupt practices, then we only have ourselves to blame when our lives become harder as a result of gerrymandering.
