Petition updateSave Anoka's Human Rights Commission!Moment of Truth!
M HAnoka, MN, United States
Aug 15, 2020

This Monday, August 17th, 7pm, Anoka's City Council will have a discussion about the future of the Human Rights Commission. There are suggestions to create a separate group outside of the city structure or to consider an Arts and Culture Task Force as an adequate replacement. We need a Human Rights Commission to ensure our government is valuing diversity and protecting the rights of every single person. An outside group or task force has little or no sway in the City Council or City Administration.

* Attend the meeting if you are able/feel safe to do so.
* Call or text in your opinion on this issue before or during the meeting: (612) 271-8051
* Send an email to remotemeeting@ci.anoka.mn.us with your comments. (Remote participation in advance of the meeting is recommended to avoid technical issues.)

Be sure to mention that you want your message included in the City Council meeting regarding Agenda Item 10.1 Discussion on Human Rights Commission.
