250 people in 48 hours and so far it has only been posted on 3 facebook pages. Imagine all the people who don't use facebook. The removal of stickers have save the state government $3.5 million.. yet our rego went up more than previous years. The transport minister said we will get our rego renewals in the mail... there are hundreds who have been stung by it. People who have not gotten the renewal but the late notice came fine.. with extra fees and back dating the rego date. The ones who don't get either.. get fines then still pay rego, the additional fee for late renewal and then the rego is still back dated. Other states have called for the return of stickers or at least the option to have them if they want it. We have no option. Queensland Transport said "NO". Even when I offered to pay for it. Not everyone owns a smart phone to download an app. People don't always have the time to log in to a computer and fiddle around with it to see if the car they are borrowing is registered. A reasonable person would think the rego sticker came with an option to have it or an updated system because we cannot rely on our renewals being posted. If you don't have a renewal, you cannot Bpay. The online system only allows visa or mastercard. They will allow you to check demerit points but not to get your renewal letter. So my Question to you all... WHAT ARE WE PAYING FOR?
