TO: Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation

As the fans of truly great rock and roll music, we think it is about time Foreigner were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.  Having already been recognized in the Songwriters Hall of Fame, it is now time to be included in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.  Having spanned the globe amassing ten multi-platinum albums and sixteen Top 30 hits, Foreigner is universally hailed as one of the most popular rock acts in the world with a formidable musical arsenal that continues to propel sold-out tours and album sales, now exceeding 75 million.

Responsible for some of rock and roll’s most enduring anthems including Juke Box Hero, Cold As Ice, Hot Blooded, Waiting For A Girl Like You, Feels Like The First Time, Urgent, Head Games, Say You Will, Dirty White Boy, Long, Long Way From Home and the worldwide #1 hit, I Want To Know What Love Is, Foreigner continues to rock the charts more than 40 years into the game, while adding generations of new fans with massive airplay and continued Billboard Top 200 album success.  Many of their original songs have been synced in movies, television shows and theme songs creating universal notoriety.

Having recently spent 12 weeks at #1 on the Billboard Classical chart with a live symphonic album coinciding with their third headlining Live Nation tour, which included a sold-out show at the legendary The Royal Albert Hall and The Sydney Opera House, it is clear their music is as relevant today as ever.

In May 2014, Atlantic Records Chairman Craig Kallman presented Mick Jones with RIAA gold and platinum digital awards for six Foreigner songs. These awards signify 500,000 and 1,000,000 downloads of Foreigner hits. That is more individual awards than any other heritage rock band and an illustration of Foreigner’s resonance in the digital era.

We see no better way to end Foreigner’s 40th Anniversary celebrations than with a nomination to the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.

With Sincere Thanks,
