After abusing him for months, in November 2020 Yianis Skopellos brutally beat his dog Drax. Video footage of part of the attack was shared on social media. The attack was so violent and sustained that many who watched it could not imagine that he survived. 

The 3 mainstream media channels in Darwin did not touch this story.

Although Animal Welfare are investigating, unbelievably Drax is still with his abuser. 
He has not been seized by Animal Welfare or NT Police. 

We need public pressure to get Drax to safety and out of the hands of his long time abuser. We the community must not let his story go unheard. He is defenceless and has no voice.
