Today, almost hundred stray dogs were found dead in Maharashtra's Buldhana district. There legs and muzzles were tied with strings. A police case has been filed against the unidentified killers under Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1960.

The exact cause of death of these dogs is not known yet. But the extent of cruelty of this act is unimaginable. The killers, if found will be allowed to roam freely after paying a very a petty fine. The government must do something! There should be a strong legislation against such cruelty to animals. Stray dogs are treated as vermin. They have life in them which, in whatever manner, is valuable. These dogs need to be protected. They are helpless! We, the people, need to do something. Help these innocent creatures!
