Provide Food and Medicines for Dogs living inside protected areas.

The Issue

India has a number of protected areas where people aren't allowed to carry eatables.

These areas include monuments, which have a large number of stray dogs living inside them. According to the recent statement by Supreme Court of India - "Even Stray Dogs have a right to Live",it is very important that the dogs living inside premises of monuments and goverment buildings are well fed and that they receive proper treatment.

Despite having a strong immunity, stray dogs are vulnerable to Aural hematomas, injuries and getting hurt due to humans. It is important that a helpline number is assigned and vet is available exclusively to treat these dogs living inside protected areas.

In most monuments the guards and visitors sometimes feed the dogs, but it's not enough. It is important that these dogs get food since they can't search for it in the limited area where carrying food is not allowed (for e.g Purana Qila,Humayun's Tomb Etc).

India does have a widespread spay, neuter and vaccination program but It is all the more important for it to be implemented strictly in protected areas so that the population of dogs inside these protected areas is controlled.

All the animal lovers residing in India would feel grateful if a positive action is taken to provide these dogs with food and treatment.
