Storm, a young German Shepherd of 1 half years, fatally let down by the authorities who are there to protect him. This is not a single event and Storm is not alone as hundreds of animals endure neglect and torture every year in Tasmania.   

RSPCA and police responded to cruelty reports on numerous occasions but the current legislation restricted the options available to protect Storm. It's a story we hear way too often, and it's a story that MUST not be forgotten, and MUST enlist support to change the current lacking and archaic legislation.

Where is the Animal Welfare Advisory Council and what are they doing to change legislation, as appointed under direction of the Animal Welfare Act. We never hear from them because the members predominantly consist of representatives of industries that exploit animals. They don't want the laws changed.
