Friend,
I want to tell you something that’s honestly been sitting heavy with me all morning.
A tiny black kitten — just a baby — was found crying in the middle of the street in Romania.
She was crying so loudly that people thought she was stuck somewhere. But when they got closer, they realised she wasn’t trapped.
She was blind, completely blind. Both of her eyes had been removed.
She was just standing there, terrified, screaming for help because she couldn’t see anything around her.
When the vet examined her, she said the injuries were consistent with intentional trauma. In other words: someone did this to her, Friend.
I can’t shake that.
A kitten this small… hurt like that… and then left alone in the road to cry until someone heard her.
I have called her Nyx.
She will never see again, Friend. She will never know darkness or sunlight or the face of the person who picks her up. But she felt everything that was done to her.
And right now, whoever did this could get away with it completely.
This is exactly why AWIP exists, Friend. It’s why we investigate animal cruelty, push for maximum penalties, and refuse to let cruelty like this be ignored. But I need your voice with mine on this one.
Friend, will you add your name calling on the authorities in Romania to investigate this case fully and bring charges against the person responsible?
Nyx can’t see the world. But together, we can show the world what happened to her.
Every signature matters. Every name is pressure.
Every person saying: this isn’t something you get away with.
Nyx survived something unimaginable. The least we can do is stand up for her now.
Thank you for being someone who cares, Friend.
