Our planet Earth is a home to enormous variety of life. Here, all the living organisms are dependent on each other and live together. We, humans, are considered as the most intelligent species on Earth. But sometimes we become very insensitive to the creatures who cannot express themselves, especially the animals. We harm them just to fulfill our needs or just for the sake of fun

Animals, just like human beings, deserve a peaceful life and a safe environment to live in. Animals are an important part of our ecosystem. But, we sometimes forget that they are also living creatures. We keep on intimidating these poor creatures who can't even express their feelings or grief. Cruelty towards animals has become an international matter of concern. We need to address this immediately.

Recently in Ujjain, 5 stray dogs were allegedly attacked with 'acid'.Their mistake? For being a dog, to be more precise, a stray dog. Stray animals, are more at risk of being abused because they have nobody to take care of them making them vulnerable to such incidents. But it doesn't means that domestic animals cannot be abused. Buddy, a labrador in the house of people who have no mercy for the poor little puppy was beaten every day of his life; thighs broken, genitals damaged will never walk again. Animals are not only abused, sometimes they're systematically abused which means that the perpetrators won't be even punished. Industries are brilliant examples of this. 

The animal skins are used in TEXTILES INDUSTRIES. Their skin and body hairs are used to make exotic fabrics for us to use. Animal’s teeth, horns, skin and fur are used to make home decor items which we beautifully use to decorate our homes but have we ever thought how much pain animals go through for giving us these luxuries?

Another industry that contributes in cruelty to animals is the COSMETIC INDUSTRY. Whenever we buy cosmetic products, we always make sure that the product is safe on our skin. But, we hardly realise that these products are tested on animals before it reaches us. The chemicals are often injected in animal’s bodies or applied on their skin, if the test fails, it often result in the animal's death.

Our progressing MEDICAL SCIENCE also has a big role in this: every medicine is tested on animals before testing it on humans. They're often kept in freezing temperatures for the experiments. The place where they are kept is not cleaned very often, also there feeding methods/food is not very hygienic. These all are the examples of cruelty towards animals.

But now it's enough! We, the human beings, who are considered as the most intelligent creatures on Earth have to stop playing with these poor creatures' lives. We've to stop being spectators. Lets not forget that we cannot survive without animals.
