First, thank you for your support.  This petition has received more attention than I could have ever hoped for.

We won a small victory yesterday when New York's Mayor Bill de Blasio said, in a press conference, that public hospitals in NYC would NOT be adopting any policies to ban support people and that every person in labor has the right to support from a person of their choosing. 

We must ensure that people in public and private hospitals, everywhere, are granted that same basic right.  We must continue to speak out against these dangerous and traumatic policies.
