With complete disregard for public safety Omari Shakur, an elected Newburgh City Councilman, has incited riots by propagating false information on social media that “Newburgh City Police shot an unarmed black man.”

This is a pattern of behavior whereby Mr. Shakur has repeatedly undermined the police and put the public safety at risk.

Mr. Shakur’s repeated misconduct in office and misfeasance are more than enough cause for Governor Cuomo to remove Councilman Shakur.
