Judge Scott A. Miller was appointed to the Tompkins County Court by Governor Andrew Cuomo in 2019. Since that time, Judge Miller has shown a disregard for his only job, which is to be an unbiased, finder of objective facts. Judge Miller has instead shown that he is willing to abuse his authority by making up facts, and ignoring facts presented, he is biased and seems to serve his colleagues' interests. Judge Miller discriminates against veterans and protects his self-interest. Judge Miller has ignored evidence that tended to bring a negative image to his Alma Matter, Cornell University. Judge Miller has harmed children by ignoring rape and drug sales accusations against a Cornell University adjunct instructor. Judge Miller has issued abusive, unfounded orders against a military combat veteran with the sole purpose of preventing the veteran from getting to know his child. This type of conduct is against public trust and is detrimental to our society. Judges who are dishonest and pursue their own agenda from the bench are the reason for so much injustice, inequality, and social turbulence in our society; it degrades the foundation of our balanced government.
