Marijuana is proven to have beneficial effects for a myriad of health conditions, such as Asthma, Anxiety, Depression, Sinusitis, Epilepsy, Cancer, MS, Helicobacter Pylori, Autism, AIDS and Multiple Sclerosis to name a few conditions.  Personally, i suffer from BPPV, Helicobacter Pylori, Asthma, Migraines, Anxiety with Depression, and i find that after using marijuana, my breathing has got better and i don't feel as nauseous!   It is due to the fact that marijuana opens the airways, so you don't have to use your inhaler as much!  Also, you don't get any of the nasty side effects that you do using conventional medecine.  I find that my mood is better!  Why should people suffer needlessly with all these benefits that marijuana has?!  New Zealand has one of the highest arrest rates outside of the United States for marijuana possession.  Sativex and Elixinol are two Cannabis based drugs that are proven to be effective in treating these conditions, yet Pharmac won't fully fund them, which makes them well out of the budget of most people!

The Misuse of Drugs Act 1975 should be amended so that people aren't criminalised or persecuted for using a natural medicine!  Labour, The Greens and the Maori Party are all in favour of legalising Marijuana for Medicinal Purposes, however, National, United Future, the Progressive Party  are all opposed to it!  Please share this petition with family and friends, and promote it on Facebook groups, etc!   Stop wasting taxpayers' money on medicinal-based bills, and legalise it completely making it R18, so that only those over the age of 18 can buy or sell it.  Personally i prefer recreational marijuana.
